Bodhi Island(菩提岛)













-- Ko Si (Four Islands 四岛) or Ko Ha (Five Islands五岛)

Bodhi Island(菩提岛)or Crystal Island (水晶岛)is one of the Five Islands (Kok Ha) in Lake Songkla. The Island has a pilgrimage Golden Bodhi Tree and a Silver Bodhi Tree merge into one, and a Buddha statue worshiped by a fisher man who dreamed the holy Buddha when he took a nap in the Island. The Island with rich illusion and beautiful nature had become an isolated worship land of Buddhism and Taoism where a foot print of Luangpor Taod is found in one of the crystal wall of the island.

The other four islands of Ko Ha also famous for its bird nest production are known as Bird’s Nest Island(燕窝岛). Ko Ha is guided by security all day and night; no body is allowed to go near the islands.

The Bodhi Island can be reach from Golden Beach(金海滩旅游区)of Pak Phayun district. The ferry service can be arranged with request of tourist. Thousands of tourists from Malaysia, Singapore, Northern Thailand and other countries had visited Bodhi Island from The Golden Beach since it was developed and became a famous icon of Lake Songkla.
